At Cromwellstown Stables, Nicola has produced many horses which have gone on to considerable successes, both with her and with their new partners. The most well-known of these is Puissance– now retired, he was brought on by Nicola from the age of 7, right up to CSI5* level where she placed with him in CSIO Dublin, Falsterbo and Calgary, as well as winning the title of Senior National Champion at the age of just 21.
More recently, the 2006 mare Borindy (now ridden by Kevin Babington in the US), the 2007 gelding Bonheur vd Kapel (now ridden by Chrissie Swail in the US), the 2007 mare Côte d’Or (now ridden by Yuko Itakura of Japan), the 2007 gelding Having a Ball (Canada), the 2007 gelding Texas m’Aurea (Switzerland), the 2005 gelding Astilbe B (Brazil) and the 2005 mare Penny Lane (US) have all been produced by Nicola in their younger years.
See Nicola’s current horses from the drop-down ‘Horses‘ tab above.
The aim at Cromwellstown Stables is to produce talented younger horses correctly, with considerable time spent on their rideability and a competition schedule that has the future career and potential of the horse in mind.
